My Story

I’ve always been the writer in my circles. Whenever someone needed help with a research paper or a cover letter, they’d come to me. And although I’d been journaling, writing poetry, and helping friends with their writing since forever, I didn’t consider myself a writer until I self-published my first book.

The writing and publishing process can be incredibly confusing, especially when you don’t know someone who’s gone down that path already. So I established So Fundamental to give people a one-stop shop for all of their book writing needs.

To date, I’ve written five books, including the bestseller Women Who Ain’t Afraid to Curse When Communicating with God. And my work has appeared in The Examiner, Blavity, For Harriet, Radical Selfie, The Womb Sanctuary, and a variety of other publications that are centered on women and/or people of color.

My specialty as a spiritual writing coach is turning BIG ideas into small, manageable steps. Emphasizing intuition and individuality, my teaching style challenges life-loving souls to create not just any ole’ book but life-changing books.

In addition to writing books and coaching others through the book writing process, I also host a writing workshop every month and a spiritual writing retreat every year. I have also partnered with various organizations including Savannah State University, The Deep Center, Jepson Center for the Arts, The City of Savannah, The Life Design Agency, and The Life Balance and Wellness Institute, assisting over 1,500 people in writing and showcasing their stories.
